Early-testing interest
If you use the recruitment page, Drive Logic collects the name, email address, Apple device, storage challenge, consent version, submission time, and technical request information you provide. These details are used to evaluate testing interest, prevent abuse, contact you about TapStow, and operate the recruitment workflow. They are stored with the website hosting provider and may be sent through Drive Logic's email provider. Do not submit addresses, inventory lists, photos, serial numbers, credentials, or other sensitive information.
Information you choose to store
TapStow is designed to let you create places, zones, containers, item records, owner labels, notes, placement descriptions, photos, receipts, manuals, warranties, serial-number evidence, and other inventory details. You decide what to capture. Avoid storing information you do not have permission to use.
Accounts and shared workspaces
TapStow uses your email address, account identifiers, authentication records, subscription status, workspace membership, and role information to provide sign-in, purchases, synchronization, and sharing. Inventory shared with Household members is available according to the access you grant. Workspace owners and authorized administrators may manage membership and shared records.
Photos, inventory, and AI assistance
TapStow prefers Apple on-device analysis or Private Cloud Compute when available. With your consent, optional Cloud AI sends selected photos and capture details through TapStow’s service to an external AI provider for analysis. Supported providers include OpenAI and Anthropic; the configured provider handles the request. AI-generated findings remain proposals until you review and confirm them. Household synchronization is a separate choice, and a local-only vault has no cloud backup.
Location and placement
Location permission is optional and requested in context. If you choose to save a map location for a Place, TapStow may store the coordinate, reported accuracy, source, and capture time with that Place. The app is not designed to continuously track people, containers, or individual items. Placement records describe where a container was last deliberately confirmed.
NFC, QR, beacons, and physical markers
TapStow-created NFC and QR markers are designed to contain a random identifier or link—not your name, address, inventory list, or other private contents. Existing NFC and QR payloads are treated as public identifiers. Authentication and workspace authorization are still required before protected records are displayed. Planned beacon support supplies coarse area suggestions only and does not authorize access or continuously track an item.
Diagnostics and website information
The beta and this website may process limited device, operating-system, browser, security, crash, performance, and usage information needed to operate, protect, and improve the service. Production diagnostics are designed to avoid inventory content, photos, precise locations, credentials, and direct personal identifiers unless you deliberately include relevant information in a support request.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store and TestFlight account activity under Apple's terms. Drive Logic may receive transaction identifiers, product identifiers, subscription status, and related purchase information needed to provide access and support. Drive Logic does not receive your full payment-card number from Apple.
Sharing and service providers
Drive Logic does not sell personal information or use TapStow inventory for third-party advertising. Information may be handled by service providers used for authentication, hosting, storage, diagnostics, support, or authorized AI processing, and may be disclosed when required by law or needed to protect users and the service.
Retention, export, and deletion
TapStow is designed to provide export and account-deletion controls. Shared records may require transfer, removal, or workspace-owner handling before an account is deleted. Some limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention, or legal records may be retained when required. See Account deletion for the current process.
Children
TapStow and its website are not directed to children under 13.
Security
TapStow is designed with access controls and data minimization, but no device, network, or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and account credentials and review workspace membership regularly.
Changes and contact
This notice may change as TapStow evolves. The date above identifies the current version. Privacy questions can be sent through TapStow Support. Do not include inventory photos, precise locations, credentials, or other sensitive records in an initial message.
